The City of American Fork is pleased to present its Open Budget Portal through OpenGov

In effort to increase financial information available to the public, to be fiscally accountable, and to improve transparency, the City of American Fork utilizes a financial reporting system -- called OpenGov. OpenGov provides residents with complex financial data in various formats that may be easily accessed and understood.

The OpenGov platform allows residents to see government finances over a multi-year period, and it allows users to sort data and create a number of different charts, graphs and expense break downs.

American Fork is one of the first cities in Utah to publicly release its financial data using OpenGov, the website platform/portal that allows residents and staff to have better access to City budgets and actuals.

The City partnered with OpenGov to provide the web-based, financial-transparency tool that dynamically presents American Fork revenues and expenses – from multi-year trends to line-item details.

For a quick tutorial, go to OpenGov and select the "Help" drop-down in the upper right-hand corner. The select "Budget 101."
