American Fork City Public Information Office

For the benefit of communication and information, American Fork City offers Public Information services including media relations, City special events coordination, publication of a monthly newsletter distributed through utilitiy bills, the website, crisis management, strategic planning consultation, City graphics coordination and other specific communication efforts.

All media representatives are encouraged to contact Public Information Officer Linda P. Walton, (801) 362-0300 or melanie@afcity.net for inquries and appointments. Interviews with the Mayor and Council, departments and committees can be arranged through this contact. Materials, data, and background can also be obtained through the Public Information Office.

Newsletter

The American Fork City newsletter will be published monthly with a deadline of the 15th of each month. Information can be submitted to melanie@afcity.net or terilyn@afcity.net.

Website

The City's website, afcity.org, is updated daily. Information can be submitted to melanie@afcity.net.

Crisis Management

The Public Information Office will coordinate media relations during the event of a natural disaster or other event requiring coordination with other agencies and government organizations.

Strategic Planning

Research and other preparation for strategic planning will be faciliated through the Public Information Office. Data will be shared with the public via the website, news releases and other methods.

Graphics Coordination

A Style Guide has been developed in conjunction with the new City logo, publications and website design. Every effort is being made to provide continuity in the use of logo, colors, layout and other components of the visual image of American Fork City.

Other Communications

Interested parties can also schedule City representatives to speak at clubs and other meetings. Photographs of the City can also be obtained by contacting the Public Information Office. Employee training in public information and customer relations is also coordinated through this office.
